Summary
(1) Glucose-cyclo-acetoacetate and its hydrolysate prevented ketogenesis by liver. (2) These substances cause more utilization of added pyruvate, both by liver slices and diaphragm. (3) They have no effect on interconversion of acetoacetate and B-hydroxybutyrate.
