Summary
Monkey kidney tissue cultures survive refrigeration at 4-6°C for periods up to 6 weeks. Cultures so treated can be returned to an incubator and maintained for 3-4 weeks at 34-35°C. Refrigerated cultures appear to retain full sensitivity to polioviruses.
