Summary
Different fractions of plasma proteins were determined by paper electrophoresis in scorbutic and paired-fed normal guinea pigs. Guinea pig serum contained albumin and α1, α2, β1, β2 and γ-fractions of globulins. There was a significant decrease in albumin, α 2 and β 2-globulins; considerable increase in α 2-globulin and no significant change in β 1 and γ-globulins in the serum of scorbutic guinea pigs.
