Abstract
Summary and Conclusions
In the present experiments on Anolis carolinensis, no significant quantitative alteration, which could be attributed solely to the complete ablation of the parietal eye, was found in the organic components of the blood which were studied. If the parietal eye influences physiological processes at certain times, it probably must do so by means of a secretion produced by the sensory cells themselves.
