Summary

Four adult male Macaca mulatta, monkeys weighing an average of about 10 lb were placed on a creatine-free diet for 7 to 9 days. After the urinary level of creatine excretion had reached a plateau, the animals were irradiated with 1,000 rep of X-rays. A creatinuria of approximately 4 times normal was excreted over the first 4 days in a pattern similar to that previously found in the rat.
