Summary
The alpha globulin portions of the electrophoretic patterns of dog sera and plasma have been shown to be affected by the technics of preparation. While “standard serum” patterns show a predominance of alpha-4 over alpha-3 protein and polysaccharide, “sedimented serum” and oxalated or heparinized plasma show greater proportions of alpha-3 components.
