Abstract
Conclusions
1. Certain compounds containing quaternary nitrogen atoms are able to overcome the decrease in twitch height, of the cat gastrocnemius-soleus muscle group excited by maximal electrical stimulation of the sciatic nerve at one shock per two seconds, induced by large doses of Sarin. 2. Compounds having significant anticholinesterase activity may enhance the Sarin-induced decrease in twitch height despite the abolition by Sarin of demonstrable cholinesterase activity in the muscle.
