Abstract
Summary
In 5 experiments growth of chicks was increased by feeding adenosine at 150 or 300 mg kg of purified diet. Fish solubles at the rate of 3% of the diet gave a more pronounced response than did adenosine. Adenosine did not consistently elicit a response in the presence of either fish solubles or dried whey.
