Abstract
Summary
Experience with rectal use of warfarin sodium in 23 patients has been recorded. In contrast to Dicumarol, the rectal administration of warfarin sodium is consistently effective. If certain precautions are taken, the rectal route appears to be as reliable as the oral or intravenous, and in some circumstances it may be the route of choice.
