Conclusions
1. Basal gastric analyses were nade in 20 patients with various gastrointestinal disorders, including peptic ulcer, before and during therapy with reserpine. 2. No consistent change in volume, free hydrochloric acid concentration or output of hydrochloric acid was observed after prolonged oral administration of 0.25 mg of reserpine 4 times daily.
