Abstract
Summary
An objective quantitative method to measure the degree of irritation has been described. It has been used to obtain a valid dose-response curve on a known irritant, formaldehyde, and to measure the irritating properties of various categories of injectables. The method has been modified to permit measurement of anti-inflammatory activity and topical irritation.
