Abstract
Summary
Two chromogenic l-leucyl aminopeptides have been prepared by a conventional method of peptide synthesis. These peptides are hydrolyzed by rat tissue extracts and human serum, urine and whole saliva as well as by pure papain. The L-leucyl-β-naphthylamide is more rapidly hydrolyzed by tissue extracts than previously suggested amino peptidase substrates, and hence gives promise of useful histo-chemical application.
