Abstract
Summary
Saline washings from Candida albicans yeast cells have been found to yield an active hemagglutinating substance which does not appear to be protein in nature. A Candida yeast cell antigen cross reacted with Saccharomyces rabbit antiserum. On the other hand, a Candida hemagglutinating antigen, equally effective in the homologous test, eliminated the cross reaction with Saccharomyces rabbit antiserum.
