Abstract
Summary
(1) Administration of PVP to mice was found capable of depressing levels of immune hemolysin for sheep red cells. (2) This effect varied with the strain of mice used, timing of injection of PVP, type of antigenic stimulation and molecular size of the PVP compound. (3) Depression of hemolysin appeared to be correlated with the degree of splenomegaly, but not with PVP concentration in serum, liver and spleen.
