Summary
The rate of disappearance of ethanol from the blood has been correlated with liver weight, hepatic catalase activity, and ethanol oxidative capacity of liver, with the latter showing the highest degree of correlation. A method for the determination of the ethanol oxidizing capacity of hepatic tissue has been described.
