Abstract
Summary
1. Antisera to sheep and to human red cells were tagged with I131 and the proteins separated by starch electrophoresis. 2. By measuring the amount of radioactivity bound to the specific antigenic red cell, antibody activity of each fraction of serum was determined. 3. Sheep red cells adsorbed most of the radioactivity from a gamma globulin fraction of rabbit antiserum (hemagglutinin). 4. Type “O” human red cells adsorbed most of the I131 protein from a gamma globulin fraction of acquired hemolytic anemia serum (auto-antibody).
