Summary
1. A method for determining digital blood flow after indirect heating in the newborn infant is described. 2. Average digital blood flow in the newborn infant was 0.09 cc/sq cm/min., standard deviation ± 0.03 within the first 48 hours of life. Average flow at 4 to 5 days was 0.13, standard deviation ± 0.04. Average digital blood flow in the adult is 0.29, range 0.25 to 0.38 cc/sq cm/ min.
