Abstract
Summary
Levels of all known required vitamins 10 times in excess of that required for normal growth, plus 0.1% ascorbic acid decreased the mortality rate of chicks experimentally infected with S. gallinarum. Excess quantities of fat soluble vitamins, water soluble B vitamins, or ascorbic acid alone, did not reduce mortality from this infection.
