Abstract
Summary
A naturally-occurring fibroma of the skin of deer has been transimitted experimetally. The causative agent survives for at least 22 months in fibroma tissue stored in 50% glycerol-saline at 0°F and further-more is filterable through Berkefeld N filters, properties characteristic of a virus. The experimentally produced deer fibroma has an incubation period of approximately 7 weeks and a very slow rate of growth.
