Summary
1. One definite and one probable isolation of western equine encephalomyelitis (WEE) virus are reported from whole blood and serum, respectively, of apparently normal immature English sparrows trapped in New Jersey in September. 1953. 2. Neutralizing substance against WEE virus was found in 12 of 88 plasma specimens obtained from domestic fowl of the same general area.
