Abstract
Summary
2-methyl, 2-n-propyl, 1,3 propanediol dicarbamate has been shown to have a potent and persistent mephenesin-like action on multineuronal spinal and bulbar reflexes in the cat. Recordings of electrical activity of the brain show that this compound in low doses will cause increase in voltage and decrease in frequency. This effect is more apparent in recordings from the diencephalon than in those from the cerebral cortex.
