Summary
1. Male mice of the C3H, C, A and D8 strains are susceptible to the diabetogenic action of alloxan. A difference in susceptibility depended upon the strain, the D8 was the most susceptible and the C3H, the most resistant, to a given amount of alloxan injected. 2. Glucose tolerance tests in diabetic as well as in non-diabetic mice are presented. The blood sugar changes after intravenous injection of alloxan showed the triphasic type curve described in most experimental animals.
