Summary
1. Tlr+ phage is rapidly and irreversibly inactivated at 37°C in distilled water, .15 N sodium or potassium chloride or in Davis medium. 2. Addition of calcium, magnesium or the amino acids serine, threonine, homoserine, aspartate or glutamate results in stabilization of phage in the diluents mentioned above.
