Summary
Chlorpromazine, in an average dose of 50 mg, was administered by the intramuscular route to 10 human hypertensives. The drug was found to produce a significant decrease in blood pressure during standing, and in some instances, postural hypotension. Blood pressure in the recumbent position showed no significant change.
