Abstract
Summary
Poliomyelitis virus Type 2 has been successfully propagated in mice following intravenous inoculation. 107 ID50 tissue culture doses were required to produce 50% response (paralysis or death) after intravenous inoculation in mice. The intravenously inoculated virus disappeared from the serum after 24 hours but was recoverable from spinal cord, brain and feces.
