Abstract
Summary
Use of the anthrone reagent offers a sensitive and accurate method that can be applied for the estimation of microquantities of inulin. Steps are given to prevent interference by glucose through the means of controlling the temperature of reaction. Boiling in alkali cannot be used to eliminate glucose because of an irregular distribution between blood and urine of the alkali labile fraction of inulin.
