Summary
Early passage, egg-adapted Type A influenza virus is completely adsorbed on a cation exchange resin, and nearly all of the adsorbed virus can be eluted as infective particles. Influenza A virus was recovered from human throat washings and swabs more frequently with the use of resin than without it.
