Conclusions
An enzyme, hydrolyzing acyl naphthylamines, can be demonstrated in a number of tissues and in serum. Chloroacetyl naphthylamines are hydrolyzed at a much higher rate than the corresponding acetyl compounds. It is possible to localize the enzyme histochemically in some tissues.
