Summary
A thermophilic bacteriophage has been isolated which is inactivated by heat at a rate which is not constant but decreases with time. The phage remains viable after two hours exposure at 95°C, but is destroyed at 100°C, indicating that it is much more heat resistant than phages previously reported.
