Summary
Genistein of soybean origin was found to be 4.44 × 10−6 times as potent in estrogenic activity as diethylstilbestrol when measured by uterine weight responses of injected immature female mice. Commercial solvent extracted soybean meal also was found to be estrogenically active when fed.
