Summary
A group of 13 patients with high tone deafness was treated with 3 g oral inositol daily for periods of 1 to 12 months. No change resulted in the fasting plasma inositol phosphatide concentration; there were minor increases in total and free cholesterol and total phospholipids, and there was an apparent decrease in neutral fat.
