Abstract
Summary
Small doses of fluoroacetate mainly inhibit the ability of dog renal slices to respond to acetate stimulation as measured by PAH uptake and oxygen consumption. Larger doses of fluoroacetate produced inhibition of oxygen consumption and PAH uptake of renal slices in the absence of substrate. The effects on PAH uptake are more marked than are those on oxygen consumption.
