Summary
With respect to their behavior in combinations with other antibiotics, as measured by bactericidal rate in vitro, erythromycin and carbomycin fall in a group with aureomycin, chloramphenicol and terramycin. The classification of these agents in a tentative scheme of combined antibiotic action is discussed in terms of laboratory tests and clinical application
