Abstract
Summary
1. Molybdenum at relatively high concentrations inhibited the growth of Lactobacillus leichmannii. 2. This inhibition was prevented or reduced by additions of vit. B12, cysteine, glutathione or BAL. 3. Reducing agents per se had no effect on the inhibition. 4. The possible interactions of molybdenum, vit. B12, and sulfhydryl compounds on the growth of the microorganism have been discussed.
