Abstract
Summary
There is an increase in excretion of administered P32 by thyroparathyroidectomized male rats under the influence of parathyroid hormone. Amounts as small as 0.5 U.S.P. unit may be detected, an increase in sensitivity of 25 times over the method of Tepperman et al.(4), and of 200 times over the standard U.S.P. assay method. In addition, there are no tedious chemical determinations of blood phosphate levels to be done.
