Summary
The glucosyl derivatives of β-phenylethylamine have been synthesized and compared with β-phenylethylamine with respect to toxicity and pressor effects. The levorotatory β-phenylethyl glucosamine is less toxic and more prolonged in its action than β-phenylethylamine or the dextrorotatory glucosamine.
