Abstract
Summary
1. Tissue distribution studies of labeled isonicotinic acid hydrazide in mice indicate that the drug is localized chiefly in the liver, skin, lung, brain and kidneys. 2. The lung contains significant amounts of activity even after the blood level has fallen to trace amounts. 3. Both isonicotinic acid hydrazide and its major metabolite isonicotinic acid are found in brain tissue. 4. The skin may serve as a major storage depot for the drug. 5. The urinary system is the major pathway for the excretion of the drug. 6. Less than 1% of the injected drug is converted to carbon dioxide.
