Summary
The “surface activity” of biotin as measured by its effect in eliminating the diffusion current maximum encountered during the polarographic reduction of Cu++ at the dropping mercury electrode is confirmed. Biocytin (∊-N-biotinyl-L-lysine) is as active on an equimolar basis.
