Abstract
Summary
Jaundice has been observed in baby mice inoculated with bacteria-free nitrates of whole carcass suspensions of suckling mice. An hemolytic anemia is associated with the jaundice; mice more than 4 days of age at time of inoculation appear resistant. There is no evidence that the phenomenon is caused by a primary infectious agent.
