Summary

Fluorescein-labeled antibody has been successfully employed in the localization of mumps virus in cultures of various types of chick embryonic tissues infected in vitro. The distribution of the virus was found to be restricted to the cytoplasm of the cells which came in direct contact with the inoculum irrespective of the kind of tissue used in the culture.
