Abstract
Conclusions
Primaquine showed a strong suppressive action during the early stages of experimental T. cruzi infection in mice. Most treated animals survived infection with a virulent strain and all showed a disappearance or marked decrease in the number of parasites present in the blood. The activity of the drug seems to be stronger than other drugs so far known to be effective against T. cruzi infections.
