Summary
The conditions of the reduction of TTC by cytoplasmic fractions of rat tissue homogenates were determined. Rat kidney extracts, upon addition of aminoacids, reduce TTC anaerobically. Glycolytic enzymes of liver and muscle reduce TTC only when supplemented by mitochondria. An extract of mitochondria can be obtained which will supplement the glycolytic TTC reducing system.
