Conclusion
(1) The daily inhalation of cigarette smoke failed to produce peptic ulcers in dogs. (2) Cigarette smoke abets the ulcerogenic effect of histamine in beeswax; this is believed to be a nicotine effect. (3) Cigarette smoke does not stimulate gastric secretion in dogs.
