Summary
A reproducible sensitive test, which minimizes contamination with thromboplastically active tissue juices is outlined for determination of the whole blood coagulation time. No significant alteration of the coagulation time was found with the administration of ACTH to human subjects or in patients with hypo- or hyper—adrenocorticism when this method was used.
