Summary

The effect of thiouracil, iodide and thyroxine on thyroidal secretion was determined by an in vivo method utilizing I¹³¹. Thiouracil accelerated thyroidal secretion sixfold; thyroxine inhibited it, and sodium iodide induced either no change or a depression of secretory rate.
