1. In mice, methoxinine causes a reduction in the food consumption and a weight loss. 2. The toxic effects of methoxinine are alleviated by methionine. 3. Methoxinine is not lipotropic in mice, since the caloric restriction imposed by its toxicity can completely account for its “apparent” lipotropic activity.
