Abstract
Summary
The yolk sac of the developing chick embryo has proved to be highly suitable for the propagation of the following pathogenic fungi: Actinomyces bovis, Nocar-dia asteroides, Nocardia intracellulars, Sporotrichum Schenkii, Histoplasma capsulatum, Cryptococcus neojormans and Coccidioides immitis. This method promises to be of great value for the experimental study of these mycotic infectins. It is quite likely that many other of the pathogenic as well as non-pathogenic fungi may be studied with profit by infection of the yolk sac of chick embryos.
