Abstract
Conclusion
An enzymatic casein hydrolysate was found to contain an agent which produced significant changes in the electrical activity of the rabbit brain when administered under standard test conditions. The agent appeared to be a protein fragment which is adsorbed by Amberlite I-R-4 and yields large amounts of glutamic and aspartic acids when destroyed by acid hydrolysis.
