Summary
In vitro, aureomycin compares favorably with streptomycin and para-amino-salicylic acid in its antibiotic activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37RV. In vivo, aureomycin proved ineffective as a therapeutic antibiotic agent in experimental tuberculosis of dba mice.
