Abstract
Summary
The sera of normal and noncancerous individuals have the same magnitude of dephosphorylation. In patients having a malignant tumor, phosphorus release of the serum was generally higher than the normal and non-cancerous group. The highest values were found in patients with tumors of the liver, pancreas and genito-urinary system. The sera of patients from whom a malignant tumor had been previously removed showed a phosphorus release which was identical with the normal and non-cancerous group.
